I cannot believe Wines ‘Til Sold Out has been in business for 16 years (and that I just turned 65; I am now officially an old man)! As I look back at all we have gone through, especially the last few years, I believe we all recognize today how truly challenging it has been for so many.
The “COVID years” have changed everything around us, and like most businesses, we needed to move with it to keep up. We have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly… and WTSO has had to quickly adjust to continue delivering the quality of wine and service our members have come to expect. The circumstances we were and continue facing have challenged us, but as always, we will make sure every member’s experience is a great one.
The pandemic forced us to heighten our presence in virtual spaces to continue to connect virtually with our members and deliver the same quality of wine and service our members expect. Using this strange time as an opportunity, we learned first-hand about what customers were looking for from their wine journey. With the addition of the “face-to-face” connection over the last couple of years we were asked for our Somms’ and staffs’ wine suggestions numerous times. These conversations have led to the launch our very first wine subscription service. The monthly delivery of selected wines will add an additional premium expert-guided wine experience to the many ways you can purchase wine from WTSO.
Over the past 16 years, the success of Wines ‘Til Sold Out has been built on providing a wide selection of high-quality wines at great savings. The negative impacts of our fast-paced, ever-changing world has been the inability to get wines delivered timely from our partner due to the shipping industry’s complete shutdown over the last 18 months. We are doing everything in our power to get our containers here faster but with limited success. In addition, the rising costs of shipping have put great strain on the company as it has on every business. We work diligently to mitigate increased costs as best we can through innovation. Our priority will always be to provide you with the best value and service you expect from WTSO.
With that, I realize you have many options when it comes to buying wine. I want you all to know WTSO is still thriving today because of your trust in an idea I had in the middle of the night 16 years ago! From a few hundred members in 2006 to over 450,000 today, I cannot thank each and every one of you enough for your support.
My team is proud to have never changed the promise to guarantee every single bottle we sell, a core pillar of WTSO’s business. The enthusiasm and love we get from you keeps all of us at WTSO.com dedicated to serving customers — old and new.
So 16 years, 9.5 million shipments, and 42 million bottles later, I cannot tell you how grateful we are for being a part of the WTSO community.

At my OLD age ion 82, I focus now only on Cab, Zins, blends, and Chardonnay only from California so always trying some of your new finds. My tastebuds have grown so much that really only now focus on 95+ rated wines and under the $90 price range. Not easy to find, but do love trying. I also consult for a few restaurants in my So.Calif. Area.
