History
Terres Secretes has been operating since 1928 with a range of named vineyards from outstanding Burgundian appellations, sustainable production, and careful blending by a dedicated cellarmaster from the Maconnais region of southern Burgundy.

Terroir
The soil composition of the patchwork of these Pouilly-Fuisse hillside vineyards around Solutre and Fuisse is clay with dominant Bathonian and Bajocian limestone.

Vintage
2019 produced very ripe concentrated fruit due to April frost and some scattered hailstorms in June. Sunlight exposure was some 30% above average, and harvest was one of the earliest on record.

Production
Harvest was manual, and no sorting was needed for the pristine, healthy grapes. Pneumatic pressing was gentle. After temperature-controlled fermentation, a fifth of the production was barrel-aged for 12 months, then blended into the rest of the cuvee for a further six months.

Tasting Notes
Hints of vanilla and hazelnut underpin the citrus and exotic fruit characteristics of the expressive nose. The textured and generous palate boasts mineral and refreshing Meyer lemon components through to the nicely chiseled finish.

Enjoyment
Perfect as a pre-dinner wine. It also admirably accompanies most crustacean and fish dishes. Ready to drink now and over the next five to six years.
