The Domaine de Fabregues is located on 40 acres of vines in the heart of the Languedoc appellation, Terrasses de Pezenas, on hillsides backed by Cevennes and the Black Mountain. The vineyard consists of several plots situated in different areas to develop complementary quality wines. The vines are planted on a range of soils, including clay-limestone with pebbles, red clay, and gravel. Each site is unique and dedicated to a single variety. Vinification is based on sustainable culture, including the use of organic fertilizer and fewer chemical treatments year after year.

Production
Grape varieties are separated, and vinification is done in concrete tanks under temperature control. Long maceration with pumping over. Maturation is in barrels for 30% of the blend for 18 months, with the remainder in epoxy-coated tanks.

Tasting Notes
A plush, full-bodied red with a core of kirsch, plum torte, brown bread, and mocha notes. Floral and spicy details come through on the moderately tannic finish. Ideal with beef-based dishes.
