The Estate
Ideally located at the bottom of the slope of the village of Saint-Emilion, this medium-sized property is one of the sleepers of the Appellation. Harvest is done by hand, low yield and meticulous sorting of the grapes result in a sumptuous blend of Merlot and both Cabernets.

Tasting Notes
Dominated by notes of soft and ripe fruit, this Saint-Emilion is round and juicy and even shows an attractive spicy character. A concentrated and elegant wine.

Winemaking Notes
Hand harvested plot by plot and variety by variety, gravity transferred and fermented in stainless steel after a pre-ferment maceration of one week. Pressed vertically for a very soft extraction.

Serving Suggestions
At room temperature. It is the perfect companion for easy going food of Mediterranean style or grilled meat dishes such as crispy roast duck.

Composed of 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon the 2015 Chateau De Bechaud opens to aromas of dark fruits, cherries, spices, roasted herbs and hints of tar all taking shape. This possesses a medium-plus body, with a velvety texture that carries on through the finish. This is already showing quite well and should have an early drinking window. - September, 2018 (JD)
