Note that the Aglianico del Taburno is an independent DOCG, and grape variety and denomination are inseparable (as in Dolcetto d'Alba).
Almost impenetrable, deep ruby. Tamarind, wild strawberry, bell pepper and hints of rose leaf, the latter indicating some evolution is already happening. Lots of juicy raspberry and wild strawberry on the palate, but while long, quite light in weight on the palate. Quite firm tannins dominate the fruit on the finish. In need of a polish but stylistically truly interesting. (WS)
