Aromas
This wine has inviting aromas of dried cherries, dried cranberries, and fresh strawberries with hints of tea leaf, rose petal, and wet pebbles. A wonderful spice box character mingles with a subtle earthy nuance, which adds to the overall aromatic complexity. The fruit takes the main stage, though, not only screaming Russian River Pinot Noir but also showing some lovely depth and intensity in the aroma.

The color is a garnet-ruby, typical with Pinot Noir wines sourced from benchland vineyards in the Russian River Valley.

Flavors
Flavors of dried cranberries and strawberries are prominent with a complex minging of tea leaves, pomegranate, rose petals, and raspberry syrup. This impressive red is quiet and floral on the nose, exuding subtle aromas of rose petal and earth. Spicy, savory and full of white pepper, it offers lifted red fruit and integrated acidity, the tannins are firm and well mannered.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley saw a small amount of stems as well as 18 months in 20% new French oak. This smoky, meaty Pinot Noir has plenty of ripe red and black fruits as well as notes of scorched earth, toasted spice, and graphite. It's medium to full-bodied, has a rounded, nicely textured mouthfeel, good balance, and plenty of character. Drink it over the coming 4-7 years.
