Megan Anne Cellars is the offshoot of the well known Mark Ryan Winery, whose owners fell in love with the Willamette Valley terroir and today produce some of the most delectable Pinot Noir in the region. Their 2017 Nysa Vineyard makes a shining stance with deep notes of dark cherry, black plum, and roasted coffee balanced in a well-structured body. The wine drinks superbly now but will most definitely benefit from a few years of cellaring. Enjoy a bottle alongside a roasted pork loin or with a cured meat appetizer.

The Vineyard
Nestled at a very high elevation between Domaine Drouhin Oregon and Archery Summit on either side, the Nysa Vineyard is perched on an Eastern slope with gorgeous valley views. This is a late-ripening vineyard, which sets naturally low yields on intense volcanic Jory soils. The 2018 Nysa Pinot Noir is one of the most complex capturing the typical dark cherry notes of the Dundee Hills famous, completed by savory and earthy characters with wonderful textures, good tension, and a long finish.

Tasting Notes
This deeply colored Pinot has strong notes of kirsch and black plum highlighted with cocoa and roasted coffee that extend onto the full-bodied palate. This is a strong, structured, and intense wine that will reward with cellaring.
