In commemoration of the marriage between Philippe Fourrier and Brigitte Delmotte, the joyful couple planted a celebratory plot of Pinot Noir in Champagne's Cote des Bar region. Utilizing grapes from that vineyard, their son Julien crafted a brut cuvee to honor his mother. Winemakers
Fifth-generation winemaker Julien Fourrier has made this special family cuvee in honor of his mother, Brigitte, whose maiden name was Delmotte. Julien's father, Philippe, and Brigitte planted Pinot Noir together when they married. Julien has taken grapes from this specific plot in southern Champagne's lesser-known chalky Cote des Bars, [not far from Burgundy] and fermented them separately in their honor. Julien could not fail in his endeavor to please his parents and maternal grandparents, and we agree he has succeeded overwhelmingly!

Flavor Profile
Jane MacQuitty OBE, the renowned longtime wine writer for the London Times, describes this 'confidential' cuvee' as ' a brilliant black grape blanc de noirs bubbly bursting with bright floral, smoky fruit.' Julien comments that notes of raspberry and wild strawberry are present throughout and that he tried to make a fresh and lively wine with persistent bubbles, gentle tannins, and a refreshing minerality. Although highly successful in the UK, his wine is only now being launched in the United States.

Tasting Notes
The grapes were left three years on their lees [twice the legal requirement] to enhance the creamy, toasty notes of this deliciously refreshing Champagne. Residual sugar is around eight grams. This balanced Champagne punches above its weight as a blockbuster aperitif but can also go the whole 12 rounds with food pairings as diverse as fricassee of asparagus, grilled lobster, magret de canard, light cheeses, and Feuillantine of pears in caramel sauce.
