By blending Cabernet Franc grapes with a base of Sangiovese in their 2017 Rubis, Secondo Cerchio draws out a slightly different aspect of the Super Tuscan style. A long skin maceration during production extracted plenty of deep ruby color, concentrated dark fruit, and ripe tannins, while oak barrel aging contributed to the wine's round frame and cocoa-tinged finish.
