Tasting Notes
Ruby-red, with a spicy, vibrant bouquet of raspberry, kirsch, white pepper, truffle, and mocha. Characteristic dark fruits comingle with the structured mid-palate, yielding multiple layers of fruit, floral notes, and wild game wrapped in expansive vanilla undertones. Nice, balanced acidity. It finishes long, with subtle nuances of earth blending nicely with the tight, fine tannins. Packs plenty of flavor punch without any excess weight. 5% whole cluster fermentation and 10% wood fermentation. This full-bodied Pinot will benefit from cellaring. It resonates on the palate with a finish lasting more than 30 seconds.

Score: 92
Region: Oregon / Willamette Valley / Chehalem Mountains
Issue: Web Only - 2018
Lithe, supple and sleek, this red-fruited style shows some delicacy and a gentle touch as the guava, pear and cranberry flavors glide over refined tannins into a long finish. Hints of stone and floral add to the long, subtle finish. (Blind 2008 Oregon Pinot Noir retrospective January 2018). — HS

Smooth as silk, all estate-grown, this classy Pinot lists five Dijon clones, Pommard, Wadenswil and “Suitcase clone La Tache” on its tech sheet. Vibrant and spicy, with cherries galore (sounds like a James Bond heroine) and a round, full, lush and satisfying mouthfeel.

It displays a nose of smoke, toast, earth notes, violets, and black cherry. Medium-bodied, ripe, sweetly fruited, but slightly narrow in the finish.
