Tasting Notes
Ruby-red with focused, bright red fruit giving way to a beautiful underlying bouquet of earth, black tea, wild herbs, and dried flowers. This seductive beauty further opens up after two hours of decanting to reveal notes of forest, woodsmoke, and toasted bread. Layers of sweet Bing cherries and plums on the palate complement a lovely, intense, bright acidity underlying the structure and balance. More feminine than prior vintages, though the wine is seamless and reveals real depth. It will benefit from cellaring due to its underlying fruit, nice acid structure, and dense tannins. The finish is a bit tight now but wonderfully textured and long with a slight mineral lift (at least 30 seconds!). The 2010 Estate should have many years to come.

The winery's top cuvee is notable for its perfume of rose petals with a subtle whiff of body talc. Balanced and feminine, this soft and graceful wine glides across the palate with flavor highlights of cherries and plums.

Light, bright red. Strawberry, redcurrant and rhubarb on the spice-accented nose. Dry and racy, with slowly unfolding red fruit flavors and a touch of bitter orange zest. Closes tangy and bright, with good length, but this wine needs more time to unwind.

Light in color and light on the palate, with a mild grip of tannins to the guava and pear flavors, lingering gently.
