Vintage Notes
2019 started off with record-level rains breaking the drought California had been going through. The early spring was relatively mild to cool, but great weather prevailed as the season continued all the way into harvest. The grapes achieved excellent ripeness and were harvested at night to preserve crispness. The wine was barrel fermented and barrel aged for 16 months in French oak, 60% new. The wine went through full malolactic fermentation and was aged sur lie.
