The 2019 Crozes-Hermitage showed nicely, with a spicy, complex, medium-bodied, ready-to-go style. Offering lots of spiced red and black fruits, sandalwood, and dried, peppery herbs, it has supple tannins, good overall balance, and a great finish.

Romain Duvernay's tarry, rubbery 2019 Crozes Hermitage takes a good deal of airing to unleash its blackberry and blueberry fruit. But it's nicely creamy and lush on the palate, with supple tannins and a soft finish. Decant it for a while, then drink it over the next 5-6 years.
