The term "Climat," used in Burgundy, defines a parcel of vineyard with a unique terroir. Climats represent the excellence of the great wines of France. Maison Louis Max has produced wines since 1859. Over time, we have extended our expertise and domaines to the south of France, which has been instrumental in seeking out unique terroirs to grow and vinify high-quality Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.

Region
In our Haute Vallee climat, the vines rise to 400m in altitude. Sunlight is plentiful, but the wind and the altitude help maintain freshness in the wines. Here, it is the ideal exposure to the sun that makes all the difference! This allows the vines to mature perfectly, giving concentrated, fragrant wines. Oak maturation adds a touch of breadth and depth to the Haute Vallee wines.

Winemaking: Traditional winemaking with partial maturation in oak barrels
Tasting Notes: Beautiful gold-yellow robe. Aromas of fresh fruit, white flowers, and honey. There is a richness to this wine, and it is textured and harmonious.
