Cooling, zesty strikes of gooseberry and white peach introduce this slim, mineral-focused Chardonnay. Fresh on its feet and delightfully chalky on the finish, it's a true-to-type expression of Montmains that should improve through 2030 and hold further.

A little fat on the palate at the moment, but there is good concentration here and some fine acidity to keep the palate fresh. Interesting salty note on the finish. A savoury, gourmand style of premier cru. Tank sample.
