Vintage Notes
A very dry year with only 345mm of rainfall. Some water stress in the plants. Early harvest due to high temperatures in August and September.

Vinification Notes
Grape selection in the vineyard and the cellar. Twenty days between fermentation and maceration. Malolactic fermentation and almost two years in casks. New American and French oak at 50%. The wine remained in concrete tanks until bottling. Aged further in the bottle to acquire the elegance and smoothness we wish to offer.

Tasting Notes
Deep garnet color. Pronounced coffee and toffee aromas, as well as ripe black fruit. Smooth texture, ripe black fruit (brambles), raisins, and sweet spices. Long and elegant. It is a very complex wine with aging potential.

Deep-red-violet in color, this wine offers a bouquet of black cherry, milk chocolate and menthol. Fruit-of-the-wood flavors, with notes of vanilla, baking spices and eucalyptus come shrouded in bold tannins that linger into the violet-scented finish.

So much new oak on the nose with chocolate and smoked bark to the ripe fruit. Full body. Chewy and a medium finish. A little too much wood for me, but very good nonetheless. Drink now.
