2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain

Vintage Notes
2021 was a great year in Napa Valley. Low yields with intensely flavored, small-sized berries and a smooth and uneventful harvest. A very early season resulted in a more natural load on the vines, requiring less pruning and dropping of fruit. The resulting grapes are packed full of flavor. There were smaller yields per vine and a smaller berry size, resulting in another amazing vintage from Napa Valley.

Vineyard Notes
Spring Mountain is located above St. Helena, on the eastern side of the Mayacamas, connecting with the border of Sonoma County to the north. The region gets its name from the many natural springs that mark the area. This vineyard is unique in that it is over 1,900 feet above the fog layer, allowing us an extra three hours of sunlight per day and particularly developed, beautiful grapes.

Tasting Notes
This 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet is a beautiful deep garnet-purple hue. It is full-bodied, luscious, and perfectly powerful with flavor. Right off the bat, intense dark fruit flavors are bursting. Wild blueberry, dark cherry, raspberry, and exotic spices. The tannins are well-structured, accompanied by a very broad finish full of length.
