Vinification
The grapes are selected from the oldest parcels of our vineyards, and the fruit is harvested at the perfect phenolic ripeness of each parcel. The fermentation is made in historic granitic lagares with the traditional feet treading process under controlled temperature. Maceration for 15 days with skin contact.

Tasting Notes
A red intense color with a slight hint of purple. The nose is explosive with red and black forest fruits. After this comes more subtle notes of violets and a touch of pepper. A well-rounded mouthfeel with volume and length. Smooth tannins and flavors of dried fruit. This wine has a freshness with racy acidity, and chocolate and rose petal notes compliment the finish.

Black plums, cloves, iron and dried herbs on the nose with some smoked paprika. Firm and focused with a full body, firm tannins, and a linear finish. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. Drink from 2024.

Baked black fruit, chocolate, a little oxidative and drying, but very classic for the region. Seems a bit blunted, somehow. A touch of crudeness. (RH)
